Our Vision for this Role
The Accountant – Accounting Operations is an accounting professional directly responsible for supporting account reconciliations, monthly journal entries and financial reporting related to DSP/3rd Party sales. Accountabilities include analysis and support of financial projects and performance analysis of multiple decentralized locations across all third-party delivery platforms, prepare monthly entries, account reconciliations, reports on operational performance, identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies, research and resolve accounting issues as they arise, and assist with special projects when necessary.
What We Will Accomplish Together
Market Support and Analysis
- Performance analysis of multiple decentralized locations within assigned market & system wide.
- Analysis and support of financial projects.
- Analyze and prepare monthly reports on operational performance specially related to third party delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies.
- Research and resolve accounting issues as they arise.
- Assist with special projects when necessary.
Financial Statements
- Support month-end financial statement preparation by brand and by delivery platform.
- Maintain variance analysis on financial results
- Support FA&R Accountants and Treasury staff on completion of month-end tasks.
- Communication/correspondence/research with unit operations.
- Assist with the maintenance of month-end financial reports.
Overall Accountabilities
- Account Analysis - Monthly analysis & preparation of work papers supporting select balance sheet accounts.
- Year-End Audit – Assist with work paper preparation supporting year-end balance sheet accounts as needed.
- Support Sr Accountant and Sr Manager on special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Support department on an as-needed basis on other tasks.
What You Have
- Qualified professionals must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting along with 2-3 years of related experience.
- Must possess strong analytical as well as audit/research documentation skills.
- Comprehension of the monthly closing process and accurate financial statement preparation.
- Must possess strong Excel skills as well as demonstrated proficiency with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and fixed asset software.
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
- SAP experience is preferred but not required.
- Finally, you should bring an excellent sense of humor to the table – we like to have FUN!
