Our Vision for this Role
The Desktop Support Technician I will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to computer hardware, software, and peripherals. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving routine technical problems while escalating more complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed. The technician plays a key role in ensuring users can effectively utilize their systems and applications to perform daily tasks. Additionally, the Desktop Support Technician I is responsible for overseeing the various technologies deployed within our Support Centers.
What We Will Accomplish Together
- Providing level 1 triage and support to end users
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network connectivity issues for both users on-site and remote
- Assisting, supporting, and maintaining various technologies (Printers, AV and Conference Rooms) deployed at our Support Centers
- Responding to incidents (issues impacting end users) and problems (one or more related incidents), all while providing excellent customer service
- Assisting with escalations from Service Desk, Sys Admin, Network, Telecom and Cybersecurity teams
- Assisting in identifying processes that require documentation
- Assisting with onboarding/offboarding of users, including account setup and deprovisioning.
What You Have
- You should have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- You should have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- You should have acceptable equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification; Associates or Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, or equivalent
- You should have 0-3 years of experience with LAN technologies, including multiple network operating systems, topologies (Ethernet, Wireless), protocols, and Wide Area Networking
- You should have a knowledge and experience with PC hardware (A+ Certification a plus) and software technology as well as Windows Server, Microsoft Azure, Shared Drive Administration, Office 365, Remote Access, and PowerShell
- Finally, you should bring an excellent sense of humor to the table - we like to have FUN!
