Based in Cleveland, OH, the Director BI/Reporting will lead our BI function across Flynn Group’s seven brands, seven departments, and two international markets. Reporting to the VP of BI & Value Creation, they will be a key thought partner in structuring report architecture, developing our test & learn platform, and generating insights that move our business forward. This role has high visibility across the organization and direct access to senior leadership within the brands and C-suite of Flynn Group.
Job Responsibilities:
- Function as a key thought partner to the leadership team, providing insights, solutions, and recommendations to support critical decisions across our business and brands
- Manage a team of BI managers and analysts, ensuring appropriate prioritization of analytics and reports, and enabling team development and success
- Lead ROI and test & learn evaluations for value creation opportunities (e.g., working with new vendors, developing and analyzing marketing tests)
- Support the development of key performance indicators for our new brands and geographies
- Lead new Power BI report intake and, partnering with our enterprise reporting team, prioritize enterprise and BI reporting pipelines
- Identify opportunities for automation within marketing and the support center, and partner with IT to develop project charter and timelines
Desired skills and experience:
- History of academic and professional success in analytics and problem solving, with 5+ years of experience
- Strong analytical skills; attention to detail and ability to multi-task and function at a high level under tight deadlines; understanding of statistics preferred
- Strong communicator with ability to collaborate across multiple facets of the business and present to leadership
- Strong Excel and Power Point skills; exposure to visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
- Curious mind - naturally asks the "so what?" questions and takes the extra steps to uncover insights from the analysis
- Proven ability to get up to speed quickly on new industries, businesses, and concepts
- Above all else, a self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude and sense of humor
