The Financial Analyst of FP&A is responsible for preparing, analyzing and interpreting diverse streams of financial and operational data of a $1B multi-unit restaurant franchisee. Position will be a key role reporting to the VP of Finance.


Essential responsibilities include:

  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and communicate recommendations for improvements to leadership.
  • Contribute to financial forecasts and annual budgeting processes with operations and financial leadership; align budget to strategies and gain alignment from business partners.
  • Create financial models and scenarios as inputs for business planning decisions in areas such as capital deployment, marketing investment and labor deployment.
  • Maintain and update database for capital deployment decisions along with preparing proforma scenarios for asset changes.
  • Understand the dynamics of key industry drivers such as food costs and labor costs; summarize implications of changes in these areas to the business.
  • Ad hoc analysis as needed based on changes in the business and the needs of cross functional partners like operations, marketing, and development.
  • Serve as an objective financial steward with an entrepreneurial perspective.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Accounting or Finance preferred, along with 2+ years of experience in a corporate financial analysis and/or public accounting role.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; attention to detail and ability to multi-task and function at a high level in a fast environment.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and ability to work independently on ad hoc analysis.
  • Strong Excel skills as well as demonstrated proficiency with financial reporting; Power BI experience is a plus.
