Position Description
The Analyst - Procurement position will develop reporting and analyses that enable the Procurement team and Flynn Group as a whole to achieve cost optimization targets. This role includes, but is not limited to, completing analyses to support implementation of successful procurement initiatives and development of reporting that measures business performance and enables internal stakeholders to identify and take action on opportunities for cost optimization. To be successful in this role, the individual will be a detailed, organized, self-starter with ownership, process improvement and critical thinking skills that is comfortable juggling a wide variety of projects.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Analytics & Insights
- Opportunity Identification - analyze spend data to identify areas of opportunity for expense reduction
- Financial Forecasting - partner w/ category managers to provide analytical support for sourcing events including development of financial impact estimates
- Financial Reconciliation - analyze realized savings impacts of implemented procurement programs and determine drivers of variance from estimates
- Reporting Development & Optimization
- Business Performance - measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identify trends and areas of opportunity
- Expense Management - reporting that enables internal stakeholders to understand and action on drivers to reduce expenses
- System Usage - reporting that drives adoption and process improvement to deliver desired value from systems
- Triage issues, identify solutions and execute activities to deliver desired procurement outcomes of delivering quality, simplifying operations and/or driving out costs
- Complete other duties as may be assigned
Education and/or Experience
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Math or equivalent
- 1-4 years professional experience in a reporting/analysis role
- Proficient in Office 365 environment, especially Excel
- Professional experience with financial reporting (i.e. P&L) is a plus
- Technical expertise with financial systems (i.e. SAP), Source To Pay systems (i.e. Coupa) and/or reporting systems (i.e. PowerBI) are a plus
- Professional experience in restaurant operations or procurement is a plus
