Senior Manager, Cash Application / Operations

Position Description

The Senior Manager, Cash Ops reports to the Senior Director of Treasury and is responsible for managing 10-12 staff members, supervising cash application to ensure timely and accurate posting and reconciliation, reviewing the operations needs of support for cash, handling, purchasing card and gift card administration , and identify process improvements. We are seeking an experienced leader to build trust among our Treasury Ops team and the Operator stakeholders to drive operational excellence.


Essential responsibilities will include:

* Provide subject matter expertise, coach, guide on cash verification issues

* Manage day-to-day activities of the cash verification team to successfully reduce open items for cash and credit card receipts

* Work closely with 3rd party vendors to ensure operations needs are being met, regarding cash handling, credit card processing, and purchasing card and gift card program

* Recognize trends, identify root causes to resolve issues and improve and deliver on key performance metrics

* Partner and influence business, operations and technology teams to integrate scalable end-to-end cash application processes and solutions

* Support cash operations for new acquisitions

* Ensures policies and procedures meet the organization's objectives, and regulatory requirements

* Work on audit, accounting and other special projects


Desired Skills and Experience

* 4-year degree in accounting, finance or other related area

* Detailed understanding of accounting, finance and treasury concepts

* 7 years of relevant experience, 5 years management experience

* Treasury workstation experience, preferably Kyriba

* Ability to effectively lead and manage multiple projects

* Ability to communicate effectively with management, business partners and direct reports

* Detail-oriented and strong analytical and organizational skills

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

* Advanced user level with Microsoft Office Products.

* Demonstrable experience in leading continuous improvement projects to improve ownership with measurable results

* Personal drive, energy, and the ability to work effectively in a hands-on action-oriented environment.

* A leader who values and promotes a culture of accountability-both for himself/herself and for others.
